Welcome to Haywood Engineering College

I am delighted to welcome you to Haywood Engineering College, a fully comprehensive foundation school of approximately 1,100 students.

Haywood is at present being refurbished under the Building Schools for the Future programme and by June 2012 the final works, a four court Sports Hall, will be complete.  The refurbishment means that the school will have new 21^st Century Science, Technology and Performing Arts facilities and new open teaching areas which connect to our library and resource area.

The school is fully committed to working with the community and we offer a selection of adult classes within and outside the school day.

We welcome students from all ethnic backgrounds and provide specialised services for all learning abilities to ensure that our students achieve their potential.

We are proud of our achievements and involve students in all aspects of school life whether in Sport, Drama, Music or Engineering.  Students make an input into the school through committees and through leadership and together with a highly motivated, dedicated staff we are constantly aiming higher.
